Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid was named the 2017 Hart Trophy winner, awarded to the league's most valuable player, at the NHL Awards on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
McDavid, 20, beat out Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby and Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky for the honor:

According to Sportsnet Stats, McDavis is the fourth-youngest player in league history to capture the Hart Trophy.
