According to Kavan Young at Sportsnet, Bowers’ deal doesn’t kick in until next season. In the interim, Bowers will head to Colorado and will have an amateur tryout for the Avalanche’s AHL club, the Colorado Eagles.
Who Is Shane Bowers?
Bowers is a centreman who hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He’s 6 ft 2 in and weighs 185 lbs.
Prior to being drafted, Bowers played for the USHL’s Waterloo Black Hawks from 2015 to 2017. Bowers’ first season in Waterloo wasn’t stellar, but he rebounded the following year and proved that he was dynamic play-maker. In his 2016-2017 campaign with Waterloo, he tallied 22 goals and 29 assists in 61 games.
