Brayden Schenn Suspended for Charging T.J. Oshie: Latest Details and Reaction

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Tuesday that Philadelphia Flyers center Brayden Schenn will be suspended three games for his hit on Washington Capitals winger T.J. Oshie in Game 6 on Sunday.

Since the Flyers are no longer in the postseason, the punishment will go into effect at the start of the 2016-17 season.

The offending hit came in the second period of Philadelphia's 1-0 loss to Washington:

Oshie exited the game temporarily before returning in the third period. After the game, he downplayed the significance of the incident.

"I haven't seen it or anything," Oshie said, per the Washington Post's Isabelle Khurshudyan.
