It all started in the second period after Zdeno Chara had made an incredible play to save a goal from Boone Jenner. After that sequence, Marchand took a high sticking penalty on Boone Jenner that led to Matt Duchene’s game-winning goal. That is not the play in question, however.

As you can see in the above clip, Marchand throws a cheap shot on a defenseless Scott Harrington. In most instances, this play would go unnoticed, but Brad Marchand has cast the spotlight on everything that he does.
