The final destination is Japan! How does ice hockey fare in The Land of the Rising Sun?
Our hockey trip now takes us from South Korea and China to our final destination. Japan is arguably the most interesting country in the Asian region when it comes to ice hockey. Similar to South Korea and China, Japan has teams invested in the Asia League of Ice Hockey (ALIH); in fact, they have the most teams in the league and have won the championship all but two times (including a cancelled championship series due to the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster).
