2018 NHL Draft Results: Full List of Round 1 Selections

The Buffalo Sabres kicked off the 2018 NHL draft at the American Airlines Center in Dallas by selecting defenseman Rasmus Dahlin on Friday night.

With the most predictable element of the draft in the books, 30 more prospects went in the first round.

Trades, late-rising prospects and a rather unexpected flow kept the feeling fresh. It was a fitting way to put the finishing touches on a season that ended with the Washington Capitals seizing their first Stanley Cup.

The draft resumes Saturday at 11 a.m. ET for Rounds 2-7. Here's how the first round played out.
