The XFL Draft consists of 5 different phases, with the teams drafting in ‘snake’ order like you would in your fantasy football draft. The draft is different than the NFL Draft since all teams are picking their entire teams (71 players). The teams’ quarterback will be assigned through a preference system with the XFL, and then the remaining 70 players will be chosen today and tomorrow (Oct. 15 & 16) through the draft.
While Terrell Owens actually isn’t in the XFL Draft Pool, the 2019 Draft does feature some notable players eligible. Those players include Trent Richardson, Landry Jones, Connor Cook, Tyree Jackson, Jacoby Ford, Ryan Broyles, Lance Dunbar, Matt Elam, Will Sutton, Robert Meachem and Roberto Aguayo.
The phases of the draft are:
Phase 1: Offensive skill players (10 rounds)
Phase 2: Offensive linemen (10 rounds)
Phase 3: Defensive front seven (10 rounds)
Phase 4: Defensive backs (10 rounds)
Phase 5: Open Draft (30 rounds)
