While the offseason has yet to officially start, the Washington Redskins already began the process of beefing up their defense by signing veteran defensive lineman Ziggy Hood on Tuesday.
According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan, Washington agreed to a one-year deal with Hood. Mike Jones of the Washington Post later confirmed the report.
Hood is a seven-year veteran who was selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
