The New York Jets kept a piece of their passing attack Thursday by re-signing tight end Zach Sudfeld.
His agent, Jason Bernstein, offered his congratulations on Twitter, and Darryl Slater of NJ Advance Media confirmed Bernstein was Sudfeld’s agent.
Sudfeld’s numbers certainly don’t jump off the page. He tallied five catches for 63 yards in 11 games in 2013 and then hauled in five catches again in 2014 for 85 yards. He has never found the end zone and missed the entire 2015 campaign.
According to the Associated Press, via Fox Sports, the Jets placed Sudfeld on the season-ending injured reserve before the 2015 season started.
