Buccaneers right tackle Demar Dotson needed the help of a cart to return to the locker room on Saturday, raising fears that the team might have lost a big piece of their offensive line for the season.
It looks like Dotson has avoided that fate, although he will be out of the lineup for a spell while he recovers. Coach Lovie Smith said Sunday that Dotson suffered a sprain, believed to be to the MCL, and didn’t offer a timeline for his return.
“He will be out for a period of time,” Smith said, via the Tampa Bay Times.
