Who is Kalan Reed, or “Mr. Irrelevant,” the final selection of the 2016 NFL Draft?
With the 253rd and final pick of the NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans selected Southern Mississippi cornerback Kalan Reed, or “Mr. Irrelevant.”
The 253rd selection is traditionally given to the Super Bowl winner, but this year’s final pick was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Titans earlier in the draft.
Reed won a one-week vacation in Newport Beach, California, and will receive the Lowsman Trophy which is given every year to the 253rd pick in the draft. Unlike the Heisman Trophy, the Lowsman Trophy depicts a lanky player clumsily reaching outward for a falling football.
