Wes Welker’s horse wins Diamond Jubilee Stakes in England

Wes Welker hasn’t found a team for the 2015 season, but he’s having more success in another area of the sporting world.

Welker’s horse Undrafted won the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in England on Saturday, which comes with about $473,000 in prize money. The horse went off as a 14-1 shot, but Welker wasn’t one of the people in attendance to watch the horse he owns beat the odds in a way he might have found familiar.

Welker said on Twitter that he “can’t believe I didn’t make the trip over” in a post that also features a photo of the members of the Undrafted team that were there meeting Queen Elizabeth II.
