There are genuine fears that Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will not be able to return to play professional football after the knee dislocation with multiple ligament ruptures that he suffered during the past offseason. That is relevant here because Cecil Shorts suffered much the same injury against the San Diego Chargers -- ESPN's Britt McHenry reports that the injury is a knee dislocation with accompanying tears of the anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, and posterior cruciate ligament -- and the injury is much more difficult to return from for a receiver than for a quarterback.
