The Baltimore Ravens announced via Twitter that star linebacker Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles tendon against Denver and will miss the rest of the season. Suggs, a six-time All-Pro and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is considered a key component of a Ravens defense which has only ranked outside the top quarter of the league by DVOA once since he was drafted in 2003. Their lone year outside the top eight was 2012 -- when Suggs missed half of the regular season with a torn Achilles. Suggs recovered remarkably quickly the last time he suffered this injury, and is expected to return fully healthy in 2016.
