Chiefs running back Charcandrick West honored former Chiefs teammate Joe McKnight, who was shot and killed in a road rage incident last week, after scoring against the Raiders on Thursday night.
West and McKnight were both on the Chiefs in 2014 before injury cut the latter’s season short that September. Both were with the Chiefs in off-season training camp, and West later joined the practice squad before being elevated in November. After West scored in the second quarter, he lifted up his jersey to reveal a tribute.
The broadcast didn’t catch the writing on West’s undershirt, but the cameras did.
