Between the two-game suspension of Jabari Price and the offseason injury to Josh Robinson, the Vikings were running thin at cornerback heading into camp.
They addressed that Friday afternoon, signing former Panthers cornerback Josh Thomas.
Thomas was originally a fifth-round pick of the Cowboys, but landed in Carolina in 2011 and stayed three years, starting and playing acceptably well at times.
When he was cut last year, he bounced from the Seahawks, to the Jets and Lions.
