There’s a clear sense of relief among the Vikings to finally have the Adrian Peterson situation resolved.
And according to General Manager Rick Spielman, there’s one guy in particular who deserves credit for the detente they reached with their veteran running back.
Via Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Spielman said head coach Mike Zimmer was instrumental in calming the waters.
“I think coach Zimmer has a great relationship with players in general. And his ability to communicate with them… As you know, there’s not much filter with coach Zimmer, but that’s why players respect him,” Spielman said.
