Tom Brady had a first-hand look at the Detroit Lions when he called Sunday's win over the Green Bay Packers for Fox, and he had quite the comparison for the NFC North team's offense in the aftermath.
"I would say the early [Indianapolis] Colts offenses we faced," he said when asked during a discussion with Colin Cowherd if he ever faced an offense as loaded as Detroit's during his playing career.
He also explained that then-New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick always stressed red-zone defense going into games against those Peyton Manning-led Colts teams because he knew they would move the ball during the course of the game with talent that included the likes of Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edgerrin James and others.
