Ahead of the New York Jets' season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, Aaron Rodgers received a vote of confidence from another legendary quarterback.

While speaking to TMZ, Brett Favre said he believes Rodgers is still "arguably the greatest playmaker in the game right now" and added that the 40-year-old could put the Jets in a position to compete for an AFC championship if he stays healthy.

"For lack of a better term, he can make chicken salad out of chicken s--t pretty quickly," Favre said.

Rodgers, who began his career as the backup to Favre with the Green Bay Packers, had his debut with the Jets cut short by a torn Achilles suffered four plays into the 2023 season opener.
