Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk says he and the San Francisco 49ers have been "pretty far apart" in recent extension negotiations.
"Throughout this process, there was times where we were super close... there's days and times, like in the past month or so, where you could say we're pretty far apart," Aiyuk said on The Pivot Podcast (2:40 mark.)
Aiyuk is holding out for a raise from the $14.1 million club option he currently holds for next season after recording a career-high 1,342 receiving yards in 2023.
"I have a vision for what I see myself as, and you don't see me as that," Aiyuk told hosts Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder.
