While Garoppolo is still expected to miss significant time, a smooth rehab would give him a chance to return in seven to eight weeks. The Divisional round of the NFL playoffs would mark seven weeks from the day Garoppolo was injured. It is still more likely Garoppolo is out for the season, but the 49ers receiving best-possible injury news now opens up the chance to return.
