Trubisky inactive, so Daniel starts at QB for Chicago Bears

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- With QB Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) inactive for the second straight week, nine-year veteran Chase Daniel starts again for the Bears today against the Giants.

Unlike his first start, on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions, Daniel had the benefit of an entire week of practice with the first team in preparation for his fourth career start. Last week was Daniel’s first start since 2014. Trubisky was limited all week in practice and did not throw until Friday, and even then it was only in individual drills, not in 11-on-11 action.
