Tony Pollard Was Offered Long-Term Cowboys Contract, Stephen Jones Says

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told reporters that the team offered running back Tony Pollard a long-term contract this offseason.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones: "We offered Tony (Pollard) a long-term deal." Just like team did last year with TE Dalton Schultz on franchise tag, Jones noted. "We're going to play under the tag this year and respect that, and we'll see where we go moving forward."

Pollard is set to play the 2023 season on the franchise tag after he and the Cowboys were unable to come to terms on a long-term contract before the July 17, 4 p.
