Vikings defensive tackle Tom Johnson has been found not guilty of three misdemeanor charges stemming from his arrest last October at a restaurant in Minneapolis.
A jury found Johnson not guilty of disorderly conduct, trespassing and use of force after what Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports was a roughly 15-minute deliberation. Police alleged Johnson was arrested for refusing to leave the restaurant and used pepper spray and a taser on him during the incident, actions that Johnson felt were excessive since he was waiting for a valet to bring him his car when he was asked to leave the lobby of the restaurant for wearing the same boots he’d worn while inside the establishment earlier in the evening.
