Even at his age, Giants coach Tom Coughlin has retained his youthful optimism.
Then again, he’s probably old enough to know better, too.
Coughlin knows that tagged defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul hasn’t signed his franchise tender yet, but still hopes to see him when the Giants reconvene for their mandatory minicamp next month.
“I expect him to be there,” Coughlin said, via Tom Rock of Newsday. “But we’ll have to see.”
Pierre-Paul hasn’t been participating in voluntary offseason workouts with the team, though he did show up the first day to say hello to his friends.
