Tom Brady was paid $170K for talk at Salem State

Tom Brady successfully made it through the New England Patriots’ offseason training program without addressing the media, and now we’ll likely have to wait over a month to hear from the quarterback.

Brady last spoke during a scheduled appearance at Salem State University on May 7 in which he was paid $170,000, the school told The Boston Globe. Brady was paid by the non-profit Salem State Foundation to appear with Jim Gray at the university’s annual speaker series. The one-hour event was funded by ticket sales and sponsorships, University spokeswoman Karen Cady told the Globe.
