Unlike his predecessor with the Jets, coach Todd Bowles isn’t a big talker. Unlike his predecessor with the Jets, Bowles wants his players to not be big talkers, either.
Meeting with reporters on the same day a Twitter battle erupted between Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie and former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow (who spent a season with the Jets), Bowles said he has communicated with Cromartie regarding the proper procedures for communicating with others.
“Me and Cro talked about it,” Bowles told reporters. “I don’t know what happened today with the Kellen Winslow thing, I’m not on Twitter, Facebook, or any of those things.
