As a Broncos fan, I have always had an affinity for both undrafted players and late-drafted players (what are now called “Day 3” players, taken in the fourth round or later). This most likely stems from favorites of mine who were both. Hall-of-Famer Terrell Davis was a sixth-round draft pick of the Broncos. One of my favorite offensive linemen, Tom Nalen, was a seventh-round draft pick. Over the past quarter-century the Broncos have also developed some really talented players who were UDFAs – Rod Smith (who should be in the Hall of Fame), Chris Harris Jr.
