Robert “Gronk” Gronkowski is the greatest tight end in the game today, and possibly of all time. His ability as a receiver is nearly unparalleled at his position, with maybe only Shannon Sharpe rivaling him. He is an absolute match-up nightmare. Linebackers are too slow and corners are too small to cover him effectively in man coverage. He broke 100 yards receiving three times last season, in only five complete games. In 2014 and 2015, he led all tight ends in receiving yards and was near the top of the league in that stat among all positions.
You don’t get the Madden cover if you aren’t one of the league’s best players (okay, maybe some people did).
