Texas Coach Sentenced

Mack Breed, a former assistant football coach at John Jay High School in San Antonio, was sentenced to 18 months of probation, fined $1,500 and ordered to serve 120 hours of community service and pay restitution after pleading guilty to assault. Breed must also forfeit his Texas teaching certificate permanently and attend anger management sessions. Breed was accused of directing two of his players to hit a referee during a Sept. 4 game.
