The Houston Texans keep doing their thing. Sometimes the how and why are among the curiosities of the universe, but you can’t argue with the results: Their 34-17 win over the Tennessee Titans was Houston’s eighth in a row, breaking the franchise record for consecutive victories.
It was also the first win following the death on Friday of owner Bob McNair, who was honored during the game.
Monday’s result dealt a big blow to the Titans’ playoff chances. They’re now 5-6, with back-to-back losses to the two teams ahead of them, the rising 6-5 Colts and the 8-3 Texans, who have silenced the talk of head coach Bill O’Brien’s job security.
