Super Bowl Live Updates: Rihanna Returns With a Medley of Her Hits as Philadelphia Leads, 24-14

The final two minutes of the first half unspooled in miserable fashion for Kansas City.

After Patrick Mahomes appeared to reinjure his right ankle on a failed third down, the Eagles converted two third downs to position Jake Elliott for a 35-yard field goal attempt that sailed through the uprights as time expired in the first half.

The punt returner Britain Covey, who was the only player listed on either team’s final injury report, enabled Philadelphia to start the final drive with good position, at its 43-yard line, after a 27-yard return.
