Every once in a while, the Super Bowl, with all of its pomp and circumstance, doesn’t live up to the hype. The most recent example would be Super Bowl XLVIII, when the Seahawks eviscerated the Broncos 43-8 and everyone except Seahawks fans fell asleep by halftime. More often than not, though, the Super Bowl ends up providing us with reasonably contested, entertaining games that leave us feeling mostly satisfied heading into the offseason.
But every now and then the Super Bowl gods deliver a classic.
