Steelers waste no time trying for two

The Steelers offense was on fire on their first drive of the preseason, so coach Mike Tomlin decided not to take them off the field after they scored a touchdown.

Rather than try the 33-yard extra point with newly signed Garrett Hartley, Tomlin and offensive coordinator Todd Haley elected to try for a two-point conversion from the two-yard line. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit Markus Wheaton for the score, putting the Steelers up 8-0 after a rather easy drive through the Jaguars defense.

Roethlisberger was 3-of-3 for 59 yards, including a 44-yard score to Martavis Bryant.
