BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Ravens linebacker Za'Darius Smith must have thought running back DeAngelo Williams' long hair blended into his uniform.
Smith grabbed Williams by the hair outside of his Pittsburgh Steelers helmet on a tackle attempt midway through the second quarter Sunday. The play resulted in a 4-yard loss.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger pleaded with officials to call a horse-collar tackle on his running back, but Smith didn't tackle Williams' collar. He tackled his hair, which has pink strands in it. Williams is an ardent supporter of breast cancer awareness.
