Steelers’ Antonio Brown Leaves Game With Leg Injury

Antonio Brown, the Steelers’ star wide receiver, injured his calf early in Pittsburgh’s much-anticipated matchup with the New England Patriots and was ruled out of the rest of the game.

Brown, who has emerged as a candidate for this year’s Most Valuable Player Award, was trying to make a catch in the end zone early in the second quarter when his left leg got caught between Duron Harmon and Eric Rowe of the Patriots. The ball fell to the ground and Brown immediately grabbed at his shin, wincing in pain.

Brown, who appeared unable to put any pressure on the leg, was helped off the field by members of Pittsburgh’s training staff.
