Sports Briefing | Pro Football: Roger Goodell Praises Los Angeles Stadium Plans

N.F.L. Commissioner Roger Goodell said two stadium projects looked promising enough to lead to the league’s return to the Los Angeles metropolitan area, the nation’s second-largest. Goodell told the Associated Press Sports Editors group in New York that he thought the projects, in Inglewood and Carson, had a “great deal of potential to be successful.” He said the deadline for franchises to apply to move to Los Angeles, currently in early January, could be moved up.
