The San Francisco 49ers have have released veteran defensive lineman Darnell Dockett on Friday, according to ESPN sources and multiple media reports.
Dockett, who missed all of last season recovering from a torn ACL, did not play in the 49ers' final preseason game because of a rib contusion.
