The Atlanta Falcons kept one of their starting cornerbacks from hitting the open market after the season by agreeing to a four-year, $38 million contract extension with Robert Alford, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal includes $21 million guaranteed, Schefter reported. The team later confirmed the four-year deal without releasing the financial terms.
Alford 28, was a second-round draft pick in 2013 out of Southwestern Louisiana. He became a regular starter during his second season and has started all 12 games this season.
