KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs were uncertain of the extent of the knee injury to wide receiver Rashee Rice, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Chiefs consulted with team doctors and received a second opinion after initial fears that he tore his ACL, but more tests are required to determine the extent of the injury and a recovery timeline.
No answers were expected until next week.
Rice, who injured his right knee in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers, has been ruled out for next Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints.
