Once upon a time, no courtrooms allowed cameras inside. Now, it’s a courtroom-by-courtroom thing, with for example the United States Supreme Court allowing no cameras at all and the states of California and Florida having pretty much every trial televised from gavel to gavel, somewhere.
In Judge Richard M. Berman’s courtroom (and presumably for the entire Southern District of New York), cameras aren’t allowed. So a sketch artist provided images of the principals who attended Wednesday’s hearing: Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Neither sketch was flattering. Brady’s was by far the most comical, with an image that looked like a melted Picasso or Steve Buscemi after getting his face rearranged by IK Enemkpali.
