On Monday, May 16—18 days after Shaq Lawson made that statement to ESPN—the Buffalo Bills announced that their 2016 first-round draft pick out of Clemson will undergo surgery to repair his right shoulder.
While it was reported by Chris Brown of buffalobills.com that Lawson would still be able to play, the Bills opted instead to “eliminate any possibility of the shoulder surfacing as a problem down the line with surgery now.
