Several veteran members of the Broncos were given the day off at Monday’s OTA practice, but one player who has been on the sideline this spring is taking part in his first practice with the team.
According to multiple reports from the Broncos facility, first-round pick Shane Ray is going through drills with the team. Ray had not practiced before Monday because of a toe injury that hampered him in the spring and led to concerns that he might need surgery to repair it.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said last week that Ray was fitted with orthotics in an effort to get him on the field this week and it appears that the measure has had its desired result.
