The 31-year-old refused to enter the 49ers Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Rams and left the field during the fourth quarter. Following the game, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that he does not expect Campbell to play again this season.
Campbell did not log a snap during the 12-6 loss to the Rams and had been relegated to reserve duty due to the return of All-Pro linebacker Dre Greenlaw to the lineup.
