Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson was reportedly stopped by TSA agents Wednesday at Mobile Regional Airport in Mobile, Alabama, after a handgun and ammunition were found in his luggage, according to TMZ Sports.
Golson was carrying a .45-caliber Glock pistol that included 23 bullets in the gun's magazine. However, he was not arrested. According to TMZ, "Cops offered to hold the gun for him until he returned from his travels."
Golson, 23, was a second-round draft pick of the Steelers in 2015.
He has yet to appear in a regular-season game after suffering season-ending shoulder and Lisfranc injuries each of the past two years.
