(Reuters) - Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and felony hit-and-run, King County jail records showed on Thursday.
Coleman, 24, was being held without bail in Seattle's King County Correctional Facility as of Thursday morning, according to the records. Police from the suburb Bellevue planned to hold a press conference Thursday afternoon to provide additional details about the case.
The 6-feet-tall, 233-pound fullback was signed to the Seahawks practice team in 2012, before making the 53-man roster for the 2013 season, according to the team's website. Coleman also played on the Seahawks Super Bowl XLVIII championship team.
