While Sarah Thomas will be viewed as a trailblazer this year, around Saints camp, she’s viewed as one of the regulars.
Though she was just hired by the NFL to be the league’s first full-time female official, she’s been working Saints camp for several years since she lives nearby in Mississippi.
So Saints coach Sean Payton said he’s seen enough of her work to be more than comfortable with the job she’ll do.
“I don’t think there will be any concerns she has to worry about,” Payton said, via Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
