The Seattle Seahawks braved the elements and relied on a little luck as they eliminated the Minnesota Vikings in a 10-9 win at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis in the Wild Card Round on Sunday.
Before his final kick, Blair Walsh was on his way to earning the title of most valuable player for the home team. He made his first three field-goal attempts of the game and could've put the Vikings ahead with 22 seconds remaining.
His 27-yard attempt sailed wide left, however, handing victory to the Seahawks. Walsh had previously been automatic when facing similar conditions, per ESPN Stats & Info:
