Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch Points Toward Retirement

With reports circulating that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was considering retiring, Lynch appeared to settle the speculation Sunday evening, posting a photo on Twitter of two green cleats hanging up.

Last month, General Manager John Schneider said that Lynch was “leaning toward” retirement, and on Sunday morning, citing “league sources,” ESPN reported that Lynch had told people close to him that he planned to retire.

Lynch, who turns 30 in April, played in only seven regular-season games this season because of injuries, recording 417 rushing yards. Over all, he has played in 127 games in nine seasons with Seattle and Buffalo.
