After inserting himself firmly into the NFL MVP race with 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the Philadelphia Eagles' 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday, Saquon Barkley is on pace to earn himself extra money from incentives in his contract.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Barkley's deal includes a $13.5 million base salary this season plus an additional $3 million in individual and team incentives that are within reach.
Here is a breakdown of the incentives in Barkley's deal:
- $250,000 for 1,500 combined rushing and receiving yards
- $250,000 for 2,000 combined rushing and receiving yards
- $500,000 for All-Pro first-team selection
- $250,000 for All-Pro second-team or Pro Bowl selection
- $250,000 if the Eagles win the NFC Championship Game
- $250,000 if the Eagles win the Super Bowl
